Author of the BBC adapted The Shooting Party, Colegate specialises in telling stories involving high society. In this novel, Colegate tells a dramatisation of Queen Victoria's visit to Bath, involving both rumours, imposters and clairvoyants. Colegate lived in Bath for nearly half a century, and her husband was a long-time chair of the Bath Preservation Trust.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in excellent condition. Dust wrapper is bright and clean, with very minor shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
