Description

Limited Edition, Original Binding, Proof Copy, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

Uncorrected proof. Limited to four hundred copies of which this is number three hundred and thirty-eight. Mitch McDeere, who has passed his Certified Public Accountant exam on the first attempt and graduated third in his class at Harvard Law School, spurns offers from law firms in New York and Chicago in favor of signing with Bendini, Lambert and Locke, a small tax law firm based in Memphis. He soon notices plaques commemorating attorneys who died while working at the firm, and hires a private investigator to look into the deaths. In 1993 the novel was adapted into a film of the same name starring Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Written by John Ray Grisham Jr., an American novelist, lawyer, and former member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, known for his best-selling legal thrillers.
