What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

An uncorrected proof copy of this very scarce collection of thirty short stories previously seen in the 'London Magazine'.

Edited by British poet, writer, editor and publisher Alan Ross. Throughout the 1950s he was a regular contributor to The London Magazine, before taking over as the editor in 1961. He edited the monthly magazine until his death, transforming it from an academic literary review to a cutting-edge review of the arts.

Loosely inserted is the eight page typescript of DF Lewis's short story 'Tom Rose', a story that is included in the collection.

Among the thirty stories in this very scarce collection are Annie Murray's 'Kisha', Melvin Burgess's 'Going Out', and Francis King's 'The Pistol Shot'.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, excellent, with light handling marks surrounding the title on the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
