An exploration of the life and work of Morris Cox, a British artist, printer, poet, and publisher known for his contributions to the fine printing and private press movements in the twentieth century. Cox founded the private press known as The Gogmagog Press in 1948, his keen interest in folklore and mythology led to this name which was a reference to the Celtic legendary giant, said to have been defeated by Brutus who according to legends founded Britain. The volume explores his work as a printer, poet, and novelist, as well as his prefaces and colophons. With a selection of letters to Corrie Guyt and a guide to collecting Cox's works. Written by David John Chambers, an English bibliographer, printing historian, printer and book-collector, Colin Ellis Franklin, an English writer, bibliographer, book-collector and antiquarian bookseller, and Alan Tucker, an English collector and historian.
