This volume is a first edition.

The book was published to accompany the exhibition Giorgio Morandi: Etchings, held at the Tate Gallery in London from 20 November 1991 to 9 February 1992, before touring under the auspices of the South Bank Centre to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, the National Museum of Wales, and the Manchester City Art Gallery. 

This volume showcases his relatively smaller yet crucial body of 133 etchings, with 24 double sided plates illustrating 48 of his etchings, many of which are sepia toned. This copy also features a photographic frontispiece of the author. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps with French flaps. Externally, lovely. One or two of the slightest handling marks. The slightest rubbing and bumping to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean throughout.
