    The first editions of Taking it over, Levels of Life, and Elizabeth Finch, written by prolific British novelist Julian Barnes. Taking It Over published in 1991, Levels of Life in 2013, and Elizabeth Finch in 2013. All published by Jonathan Cape. 

    In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrappers.

    Barnes is an award-winning author often praised for his intellectually-oriented novels that confront themes of history and reality. These three works are a testament to this.

    Taking It Over is a first-person narrative concerning a love triangle that was awarded the Prix Femina French literary prize. Levels of Life is a beautiful novel of three essays that delves into historical balloonists to tackle his own grief over his late wife Pat Kavanaugh. Elizabeth Finch exhibits Barnes's profound creativity once again, as the story follows a former student as reminisces his inspiring lecturer.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, in excellent condition. Dust wrappers are bright and clean, with the rare mark to Finch and occasional mark to Life. Protective coating is adhered to the wrapper of Taking and cannot be removed. End papers are clean. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
