A first edition copy of the second volume of Anthony Burgess's autobiography, with the first being Little Wilson and Big God.

The narrative begins in 1959 with the author's return from Brunei and the start of a professional writing career, being a remarkable memoir of a remarkable writer and man. 

Anthony Burgess was an English writer and composer. While primarily a comic writer, his dsystopian satire A Clockwork Orange remains his best known work. 

In the original unclipped dust wrapper and 'signed' sleeve.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Signed by the author to the title page. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original unclipped dust wrapper and 'signed' sleeve which are very smart with some sunning to the spine and some marks to the rear of the sleeve.
