A. S. Byatt (1936-2023) was an English novelist, critic, and academic associated with the post-war intellectual tradition. Possession won the 1990 Booker Prize and established her international reputation, later adapted into a 2002 feature film.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. The slightest fading to extremities. One or two very minor handling marks. Dust wrapper, lovely. The slightest edge wear to extremities. Very slight discolouration to lower right extremity of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if a little age toned.
