A near fine copy of this first edition in which John Hogan discusses theological hermeneutics and issues of interpretation. Prior owner's bookplate to the front paste down. This volume previously belonged to David Arthur Pailin, a philosopher and theologian who published several monographs on the philosophy of religion, and the anthropological character of religion.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some very light rubbing to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout.
