First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece of No. 45 Frith Street, Soho, in which the Sydenham Society was once housed, as well as nine other in-text illustrations. The Sydenham and the New Sydenham Societies were active from 1844 until 1911, and took it upon themselves to publish important medical works by prominent figures. During the societies' activity, they published some 230 volumes. Containing a bibliography of these works. Written by G. G. Meynell, a British writer known for his medical works.

Condition

In the original paper binding. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers.
