Anita Brookner was an English novelist and art historian. She was Slade Professor of Fine Art at the University of Cambridge from 1967 to 1968 and was the first woman to hold this visiting professorship. She was awarded the 1984 Booker–McConnell Prize for her novel Hotel du Lac.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original bright, unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent. The odd mark to the board of 1989 vol. Dust wrappers excellent with only the occasional mark to reverse of wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, age toned only in 1985 vol.
