What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

Originally published in 1973. With six full color pop-up scenes. Five of six scenes include additional movable elements. Illustrated by Vojtěch Kubašta, a Czech architect and artist, who designed three-dimensional cards to advertise porcelain, sewing machines and pencils. In 1956, he designed his first fairy tale pop-up book: Little Red Riding Hood.

Condition

Coloured illustrated paper over card. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Scene four has light creasing to the handle for the moveable element although this does not disrupt its use. Scene five's moveable element has come loose but is still functional. Remaining scenes are in excellent working order. Lovely condition throughout.
