Randolph Stow's nostalgic and humorous story following the adventures of Captain Midnite, a not-so-bright young man and his five good animal friends who helped him in his exploits. 

This edition is the first to be completely re-designed and embellished with original drawings and embellishments by Ralph Steadman. The original text was published in 1967. 

With the unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated throughout by Ralph Steadman.
