This is the sixth instalment to Colin Dexter's crime series featuring Inspector Morse, a Detective Chief Inspector in the Thames Valley Police in Oxford, England. 

Divided into three main narratives or 'miles', this novel sees the discovery of a corpse in the Oxford Canal at Thrupp, with motivations tying to three brothers who served during the Second World War.

In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with minimal edge wear. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
