Facsimile edition. Limited to two hundred and fifty copies, of which this is number one hundred and ninety-eight. With a large folding map to the rear of the text. Collated complete. A detailed history of the Battle of Waterloo, marking the end of the Napoleonic Wars. With reference to the Duke of Wellington's attack, the arrival of the 2nd Prussian Corps, the French Army routed, the 2nd and 4th Corps united and driven out of Planchenoit, and the French Corps on the retreat. Written by C. De. M., or Friedrich Karl Ferdinand Freiherr von Muffling, a Prussian Generalfeldmarschall and military theorist. With an account of the origin of publication and some particulars regarding Bonaparte's conduct during the Battle by Colonel Sir John Sinclair, a British politician, military officer and writer who was one of the first people to use the word "statistics" in the English language.

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
