'The BFG' is one of Roald Dahl's most popular children's novels, about a young orphan girl who is taken by the Big Friendly Giant.
Illustrated with in-text illustrations throughout by Quentin Blake. Blake is well beloved for his iconic illustrations of Dahl's novels, the two becoming synonymous.
Dahl is one of the most beloved children's writers of the twentieth century, known for his unsentimental and macabre children's novels, though he wrote extensively for adults too.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with light shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A couple of light marks to the cloth. Faint tidemark to the paste downs, endpapers, and to the first and last few pages. Light edge wear to the dust wrapper, with a small closed tear to the head of the spine. Spine is a little sunned. A few light handling marks to the wraps. Tidemark to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
