John Fowles was an influential writer of the twentieth century. His writing was inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. He is best known for his novels 'The Magnus' and 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Internally, firmly bound. Dust wrapper spine is sunned. Two large tide marks to the dust wrapper, heavier to the reverse. Pages are bright and clean.
