Description

A new edition. 

In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper. 

The twenty-four sheets of maps produced by French-born British cartographer John Rocque, became the standard map of the period. 

This work came after facsimiles of the maps had been out of print for a while. The aim of this edition was to give a format more convenient for the modern user. 

With introductory notes about the making of the maps by Ralph Hyde. 

Complete with the twenty-four sheets, a facsimile reproduction of the original title page from Rocque's proposals, and a full index.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
