From Evan S. Connell, recognised for his short stories and historical works, notably his Mrs. Bridge and Mr. Bridge novels, which depict an upper middle-class couple living in Kansas City during the interwar period.

In the original quarter cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely. Dust wrapper is excellent, with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
