First edition. Illustrated throughout with colour photographs and maps. A portrait of a fascinating country, following an itinerary from Baghdad and central Iraq to the south in Basra, and to the obscure lagoons and reed-beds of the Marsh Arabs. They then head north to the snow-capped mountains of Kurdistan, and further adventure. Written by Gavin David Young, an English journalist and travel writer. Photographed by Nik Wheeler, a British-born photographer who began his career as a photojournalist in the Vietnam War.

Condition

In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
