This non-fiction work was written by novelist and journalist Shiva Naipaul and provides an account of his trip to Guyana in the aftermath of the Jonestown Massacre. Jonestown was a settlement ran by Jim Jones in Guyana, which was created by the 'Peoples Temple' cult. in 1978, nine hundred and nine people died due to cyanide poisoning in a forced 'revolutionary suicide' event by Jones and other members of the cult. This work provides details on the aftermath of the event and the authors experiences on the trip.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with only slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The wrap is also lovely. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
