A moving and amusing memoir, in which the writer, filmmaker and presenter Hugh Falkus (1917-1996) looks back on his boyhood among the marshlands and estuaries. This second edition, which was illustrated by the author, includes a new chapter describing an air battle and its sequel in the summer of 1940.
