By Colin Dexter, a popular English crime writer, best known for his 'Inspector Morse' series of novels. Throughout his career he received several Crime Writers' Association awards: Two Silver Daggers, Two Gold Daggers and A Cartier Diamond Dagger. He also received an OBE for his services to literature.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with some loss to the head of the front board. Spine is faded. Fore edge is age-toned. Loss to the head of the front wrap. Light age-toning to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
