Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890–1954) was an American graphic designer whose career flourished in the UK. Best known for designing bold, modernist posters for London Underground, he also excelled in book illustration and stage design.
Written by Mark Haworth-Booth, a British academic and historian of photography who was a curator at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with just the slightest rubbing to extremities. dust wrapper, very smart. Slight age toning to perimeters, with very slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. One or two very slight handling marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean throughout.
