First edition. Illustrated with seventy-five images, many of which are in colour. A detailed study on the life and works of Edward McKnight Kauffer, an American artist and graphic designer who lived for much of his life in the United Kingdom. He worked mainly in poster art, but was also active as a painter, book illustrator and theatre designer. Written by Mark Haworth-Booth, a British academic and historian of photography who was a curator at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
