    One of 280 limited edition copies of this scarce picture book in the publisher's original paper wraps, with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

    A lovely picture book, created for the Bodley Head's series of Christmas booklets, by Mitsumasa Anno (1926-2020), a Japanese illustrator and children's author. This delightful work contains seven plates and two illustrations by Anno, telling the story of a match girl who discovers a beautiful Christmas tree.

    Each plate has been reproduced from the original illustration, including any marks and stains that were present on the original.

    Collated, complete.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original paper wraps, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dust wrapper remains smart and bright.
