Containing 'A Selection of British Birds' with the prospectus of the work.
A facsimile of a beautifully illustrated work compiled by Charlotte Louisa Emily Perrott, an English artist and collector, known for her strong interest in zoology and ornithology. This work was originally published by Robert Havell in c1835, with very few surviving copies known.
Comprised of five brightly coloured plates, accompanied by their descriptions, of a cock, a woodpigeon, a raven, a whinchat and a blue tit.
Collated, complete.
With a new introduction and commentary by Philip J. K. Burton.
Condition
Bound in half morocco with a quarter morocco solander box. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear and a few minor marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Box is also very smart, with a few bumps to the extremities, light marks to the cloth and to the spine.
