A delightful poetic prose work, being the story a young boy who feels a deep connection with the heron - its slender fragility echoed in his long thin legs and taut white body. Following the boy and his 'familiar' as they venture across the countryside. Illustrated by John O'Connor, a prolific British wood-engraver, painter, illustrator, printmaker, and author.
Condition
In the original card wraps. Externally, excellent. Original glassine wrap is also excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
