'Daniel Martin' follows the titular character, a Hollywood screenwriter who returns to England. The novel contains flashbacks to the childhood in the 1940s and his time at the University of Oxford, and reflections on his ex-wife and her sister, whom he was in love with.
A lovely first edition by Fowles, the renowned British novelist of works positioned between modernism and postmodernism, best known for 'The French Lieutenant's Woman', 'A Maggot', and 'The Collector'.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price clipped dust wrapper. Minor bump to spine head, otherwise externally fine. Dust wrapper in exceptionally bright condition, with price label to tail of front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
