What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

First edition. Illustrated with over three hundred and fifty images, many of which are in colour. An exploration of the works of Georges-Henri Rouault, a French painter, draughtsman, and printmaker, whose work is often associated with Fauvism and Expressionism. Discussing his impact as a graphic artist, with these works being much more elusive than his paintings. The present catalogue is one of the most comprehensive, resolving many of the mysteries surrounding the graphic works and making them accessible to a larger public. Written by Alan Wofsy, an American art historian, publisher, and dealer.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
