First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The Golden Cockerel Press operated between 1920 and 1961. They made limited editions of classic works, with hand-set type and printed on handmade paper including illustrations by various artists. Printed and bound by W. & J. Mackay Limited in Chatham, Kent, England. Including the unclipped dustwrapper in fine condition. This bibliography looks at the Golden Cockerel Press between September 1949 - December 1961. With a list of prospectuses 1920-1962 and illustrations from the books.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth bindings in original unclipped dust wrapper. Original glassine wrap intact. Externally, in lovely condition with minor bumping to head and tail of spine. Externally, the dust wrapper is in fine condition with very little shelf wear. Pages are very bright and clean.
