The protagonist Steve Champion is said to be an impossibly lucky loner hero and is the leader of the old Villefranche anti-Nazi group.

Len Deighton was best known for his works of spy fiction which rank among the greatest of his generation, in line with Ian Fleming and John Le Carre.

As well as writing fiction Len Deighton also wrote military histories and cookery books. Part of the 'unnamed hero' series of works, this fast paced spy novel follows the the trail of a man involved in international arms dealing.

Condition

In the original paper wraps in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. A few light marks to the dust wrapper. The wraps are bright and clean. Internally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with marginal age toning.
