What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce uncorrected proof of Helen Weaver's English translation of author Antonin Artaud's work.

In 1935 French writer, poet and dramatist Antonin Artaud travelled to South America, going on to live with the indigenous Mexican Tarahumaran people and participating in their peyote rites. His writings during this time are here published for the first time in English, somewhat concerned with the supernatural, and including an account of his horrific withdrawal from heroin upon entering the land of the Tarahumaras.
