Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, With Dustwrapper

First edition. Signed by the author to the title page. A Sergeant Cribb novel. The government and the police are deeply concerned about a series of bomb-blasts in public buildings in London. Astonishingly, Constable Thackeray is suspected of conspiring with anarchists, but Sergeant Cribb doesn't believe this accusation and is keen to prove the police are wrong about his assistant. Written by Peter Harmer Lovesey, a British writer of historical and contemporary detective novels and short stories best known for his series featuring Sergeant Cribb, a Victorian-era police detective based in London, and Peter Diamond, a modern-day police detective in Bath.
