Clifford Smith, with many illustrations depicting jewellery from around the world, such as Ancient Egypt, Britain, Hungary and Greek craftmanship. The work discusses the history of jewellery, providing examples from ancient times to the middle ages, and up to the nineteenth century.

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is very smart with fading to the spine and head of the front and the odd minor mark. Light spotting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
