Illustrated throughout with Beatrix Potter's charming colour illustrations.

In the original publisher's cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. 

This work was written and illustrated by the iconic children's book writer and illustrator, Beatrix Potter. This work was originally written and illustrated by Potter in 1906 but was not published until 1971 by Frederick Warne & Co. The book tells the story of a cat who invites a rat to tea, with the intention of eating him, but is eventually outsmarted by the clever rat.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with slight marks to the front board and to the edges of the boards. Very minimal age toning to the endpapers with small marks to the rear. The wrap is very smart with sunning, slight marks, minor edge wear and light creasing to the rear. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages.
