The first of three catalogues covering the history of opera from its beginnings into the twentieth century. It deals with operas first performed during the years 1751 to 1800, a period of great historical significance and rich in important works, of which almost all have survived into the modern repertory. Produced by Richard Macnutt, an internationally renowned English antiquarian music dealer and expert on Hector Berlioz and Felix Mendelssohn.
Condition
Bound in modern cloth with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
