First editions, in the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.
Written by English author Susan Hill, who is best known for her novel 'The Woman in Black', which has been adapted multiple times in different ways.
This collection is comprised of two novels by Hill, 'Strange Meeting' (1971) and 'Air & Angels' (1991), and one collection of essays and poems, entitled 'People' (1983), which was edited by Hill. 'People' had many contributors, including John Carey, Iris Murdoch, Ian McKellen and Svetlana Allilueva.
Both 'Strange Meeting' and 'Air & Angels' take their name from poetry, with the prior being the title of a Wilfred Owen poem, and the latter taken from a poem by John Donne.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, lovely, with light bumping to the extremities . A touch of fading to the extremities of 'People'. Dust wrapper's are very smart, with light edge wear more so to 'Strange Meeting'. The occasional mark to the wrap, mainly to 'Strange Meeting', which also has the remnants of a label to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean.
