What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

First thus. Illustrated throughout. Originally written in French, this work is the second of two full-length plays written by Picasso. Due to its stream of consciousness style many critics believe the piece was never intended to be performed, only read. Written and illustrated by Pablo Ruiz Picasso, a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, and is known for co-founding the Cubist movement. Translated by Sir Roland Algernon Penrose, an English artist, historian and poet who was a major promoter and collector of modern art and an associate of the surrealists in the United Kingdom.

Condition

In the original black cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot.
