    British folk tales rarely seen in the dust wrapper, by Katharine M. Briggs.

    The volumes are split into Volume I: part A Folk Narratives and part B Folk Legends, and Volume II: part A Folk Narratives and part B Folk Legends. 

    In publisher's original brown cloth bindings. In the original unclipped dust wrappers. 

    These volumes contain tales told for edification or for delight. 

    Volume I parts A and B outline fables and exempla, fairy tales, black dogs, bogies, devils, dragons, fairies, ghosts and giants.

    Volume II parts A and B outline jocular tales, novelle, nursery tales historical traditions, local legends, origin myths, saints, the supernatural, witches and miscellaneous legends.

    In publisher's original brown cloth bindings. In the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent. Minor shelf wear to extremities, most significant to heads and tails of spines. Dust wrappers are very smart. Shelf wear to extremities with the odd small closed tear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
