This folding map of Wiltshire (being Sheet 77 of the publisher's edition titled 'Devizes') comes with text regarding the original survey that began in 1793, as well as the early printings and publication history.
David and Charles, the publishers, was first founded in Newton Abbot, England, in 1960. This work is from their reprints of the 'Old Series' of Ordnance Survey one-inch maps.
Condition
A folding map held in the publisher's original paper slipcase. Externally, case is very smart, with instances of rubbing most notable to the corners. Map is bright and clean.
