W. H. Auden remains a highly acclaimed Anglophone poet; active during the twentieth century, he is responsible for the composition of several popular poems including 'Funeral Works', also referred to as 'Stop All the Clocks', 'September 1, 1939', 'The Age of Anxiety', and 'Horae Canonicae'. City Without Walls is an anthology which features several of Auden's famous shorter poems such as 'Amor Loci', 'The Horatians', Ode to Terminus' and 'Partition', in addition to a handful of his earlier poems, and his translation of Bertolt Brecht's 'Mutter Courage'.

Condition

In the original publisher's binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart with light offsetting to the rear first free endpaper. Some minor marks to the wrapper, heaviest to the front and rear. Toning to the wrap's spine. Internally, firmly bound with exceptionally bright, clean pages.
