John Updike is one of the most significant 20th century authors in American Literature, being one of only four individuals to win the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. Updike is particularly skilled at cutting through American society in his works, and these two books are brilliant examples of this.

Rabbit Redux is the second novel in his prolific 'Rabbit' series following everyman Harry 'Rabbit' Angstrom. Couples follows ten promiscuous couples in a New England town.

In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart, with minimal bumping to the heads and tails of the spines. Dust wrappers are bright and clean, with minute marks to Rabbit Redux and small creases to extremities of Couples. End papers are bright and clean. Internally, firmly bound.
