William Charles Smith (1881-1972) was an English musicologist who specialised in musical bibliographies and was considered an authority on Handel. He was particularly interested in 17th and 18th century musical figures in England. In this work, he provides a musical bibliography of the music publisher John Walsh the Elder, between 1695 and 1720. This is a reprint of the original work first published in 1948.
