What Our Customers Say...
Description
Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
Four volumes of a six volume set, volumes III to VI only. Later printing of the revised edition. A collection of the works of Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, an American novelist, essayist, and short story writer, from The Bodley Head. Fitzgerald is best known for his novels depicting the flamboyance and excess of the Jazz Age, a term that he popularized, and achieved transient success and fortune in the 1920s, but did not receive critical acclaim until after his death. This set contains: Volume III - This Side of Paradise, The Crack-Up, and Other Autobiographical Pieces. Volume IV - The Beautiful and Damned. Volumes V and VI - Short Stories, selected and introduced by Malcolm Cowley, an American writer, editor, historian, poet, and literary critic. These volumes, produced by The Bodley Head, were intended as a simple way to explore the work of one of their most characteristic writers, arranged in a handy and uniform format.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrappers are very smart with light wear to the extremities and sunning to the spine. The odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
