The Harveian Oration was instituted in 1656 by William Harvey and is an annual lecture held at the Royal College of Physicians of London. This is the Harveian Oration which was given in 1967 by Robert Platt, a British physician who specialised in the research of kidney disease, however is now best remembered for his debate with George White Pickering regarding the nature of hypertension.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, attractive with just slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages, barring a touch of foxing exclusive to the title page.
