While this comical children's book is far different from the 'Gormenghast' fantasy series that he is best known for, fantastical creatures are abound in this amusing story.
Originally a painter, Peake's artistic flair and wit shines through with his illustrations.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper covered boards, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with minimal signs of shelf wear and minor bumping to head and tail of spine. The very rare spot to end papers, and the previous owner's ink inscription to library stamp on front paste down. Dust Wrapper is smart, with the occasional mark. Signs of wear and creasing to extremities of wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
