Description
Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper
In the publisher's original green cloth binding, complete with the original unclipped dust wrapper.
This volume is a very scarce, second impression of this work.
This volume marks the beginning of Williamson’s remarkable 15-volume sequence, A Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight, tracing the life of the Maddison family from the late Victorian era through to the post-war years.
The novel follows the introspective Richard Maddison as he navigates suburban London life and a tentative courtship with Hetty Turney, against a backdrop of social change and personal restraint.
