First Edition, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Sir John Betjeman (1906-1984) was a writer and broadcaster, and was Poet Laureate from 1972 until his death. This is his first published collection of poetry after his extremely successful 'Collected Poems', with poems concerning 'Landscapes', 'Portraits', 'Light and Dark', and 'Personal' subjects.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Dust wrapper is mostly bright and smart, except for sunning to the spine and two small closed tears to the front of the wrap.
