The very scarce advance uncorrected proof copy of academic Dr. Constance Cappel Montgomery's account of Ernest Hemingway's trips to Michigan.
Cappel Montgomery discusses the annual trips taken by Ernest Hemingway to Harbor Springs in Northern Michigan, where the Hemingway family vacationed from 1900 onwards, when Ernest was only a year old. These trips took place throughout his youth, and through to the first years he spent as a professional writer.
With the publication date and proposed price handwritten to the front wrap, and with a spelling mistake to the title corrected by hand.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps, with plastic comb binding. Ink publisher's notations handwritten to front wrap, with evidence of adhesive removal to head of front and rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned to perimeters, otherwise clean and bright.
